The contest was held within the framework of Canada-Ukraine Partnership Project “Regional Governance and Development” (RGD) along with the Department of Culture and Tourism of Zaporizhzhia Oblast State Administration (OSA) and lasted from October 6 to December 15, 2008. Taking into account the fact that tourism is one of the principal priorities of Zaporizhzhia Regional Development Strategy till 2015 the purpose of the contest was identification of the best ideas on “Zaporizhzhia touristic” brand promotion at the world tourism market and public engagement into development of the native region.
